Meet Lily & The 3 Little Ones
Hi, I’m Lily — a grad student at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work, part-time barista, and full-time cat mom. I grew up in a small town but found my rhythm in the noise and magic of New York City. Between fieldwork, papers, and navigating subway delays, I’ve found a kind of peace I didn’t expect — and it came with fur, whiskers, and tiny paws.
My Story with Pip, Fig, and Miso
These three — Pip, Fig, and Miso — weren’t part of the plan. I signed up to foster one kitten for the weekend, just to help out a local rescue. But somehow, I left with a trio of wide-eyed siblings who instantly took over my space and heart.
At first, it was chaos. They climbed everything, knocked over water glasses, and screamed during Zoom classes. But they also brought joy into the smallest moments: sleepy piles on my lap, tiny noses poking into cereal bowls, and the gentle purring that filled my apartment when everything else felt too loud.
Each one has a personality of their own:
– Pip is brave and always exploring.
– Fig is the snuggler who sticks close.
– And Miso? She’s got main character energy, no question.
They’ve been with me through late-night study sessions, homesickness, and the kind of life transitions that make you question everything. Somehow, their presence reminds me to slow down — to appreciate stillness, softness, and silliness.
